Events & Marketing

The City of Daphne Events & Marketing Department serves as the central point of contact for communications and marketing activities citywide, including branding, graphic design, the City's website, social media and community events.

The Events & Marketing Department also includes the Daphne Civic Center, the Daphne History Museum and Daphne's tourism division, Discover Daphne.

Film Production

The City of Daphne Event's & Marketing department acts as the liaison between production companies and any permitting or permissions needed for film production happening within the city limits of Daphne. We also assist in locations scouting when production companies are not local, often working alongside the Mobile Film Office. 

The City of Daphne is proud to have been a filing location for major motion pictures including Stephen King's The Life of Chuck (2025), Jesus Revolution (2023), About My Father (2023), Arkansas (2020), Map of Tiny Perfect Things (2021), The Friend (2019) among others. Local producers have also filmed in the Jubilee City for projects such as A Noble Experiment, The Italian Colony in South Alabama, a documentary telling the story of Daphne's founding Italian families.
