Solid Waste Division
The City of Daphne Solid Waste Division oversees collection of garbage, trash & yard debris, and recyclable materials within the city limits of Daphne. Please call Public Works at 251-620-2100 if you have specific questions about your curbside service, click here to view our interactive route map, or to view the 2022 Solid Waste Holiday Schedule, click here. The 2023 Solid Waste Schedule can be found here.
Garbage Service
All household garbage must be bagged and placed in a City of Daphne issued garbage cart with a tight fitting lid suitable to protect the contents from insects, animals and water. The container should not be more than 96 gallons or less than 64 gallons, unless otherwise approved. Do not use red garbage bags (red is the universal color for medical waste, and medical waste is not collected by the City of Daphne).
Garbage Pickup Times
Be sure that all garbage is placed on the curbside before 7am on your day of service. Time of pick-up can vary slightly and only by placing garbage curbside before the route begins can your pick up be assured.
Trash & Yard Debris Service
Please keep in mind that our Trash/Yard Debris Ordinance clearly states that each City of Daphne household is allowed 15 cubic feet of trash/yard debris per week. Excessive trash charges begin at $60 and progressively increase on the volume of overage.
