Location
The City of Daphne is the largest city in Baldwin County and is one of the fastest growing areas in the nation. Located on the eastern shoreline of Mobile Bay just off I-10, Daphne is 11 miles east of Mobile; 45 miles west of Pensacola, Florida and 150 miles southwest of Montgomery, the Alabama State Capital. Daphne affords its residents the charm and grace of small town living and yet metropolitan Mobile is only minutes away.

Climate
Daphne is situated on a high bluff with elevations ranging from sea level to 120 feet. The climate is enviable with an average annual temperature of 65.4 degrees Fahrenheit (average in January is 41.1 degrees and July is 80.5 degrees Fahrenheit) and average rainfall of 66 to 68 inches per year. Summers are long and fairly hot, but the heat is tempered by breezes from Mobile Bay and the Gulf. Winters are short and very mild, and spring and autumn offer colorful outdoor scenery.

Roadways
Daphne is linked to Mobile (9 miles to the west) and Pensacola, Florida (53 miles to the east) by Interstate 10, a major east-west artery in the nation's Interstate System. The City is also located within a short distance of I-65 in Mobile, AL and US Highways 90, 98 and 31.
Airports
There are three commercial airports that are easily accessible to Daphne. The nearest air service to Daphne is the Fairhope Municipal Airport located approximately 10 miles away. The Mobile Regional Airport (located approximately 30 miles from Daphne) and the Pensacola International Airport (located approximately 55 miles from Daphne) both offer major commercial airline services.
