Municipal elections are held every four years on the fourth Tuesday in August. Runoff elections, if needed, are held on the sixth Tuesday after the general election. Candidates may begin qualifying once notice of election is published. Qualification period for the 2025 Municipal Election is June 10, 2025 through June 24, 2025.  For more information regarding qualifications, see the Code of Alabama, 1975, Section 11-46-22(a) and 11-46-25(g) or contact the Daphne City Clerk’s Office at 251-620-1100. The qualifying period for candidates runs for 15 days.

All candidates will qualify with the City Clerk.  She is located at Daphne City Hall, 1705 Main Street, Daphne.  Office hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm during the June 10-24, 2025 Qualifying period.  Contact the Office of the City Clerk in Daphne City Hall, by email, or by calling 251-620-1100.

The Qualification Fee is $25 to run for Daphne City Council and $50 to run for Mayor of Daphne.

The voting district is based on the physical address where you live, not a mailing address or where you work.

Persons 18 years of age or older are eligible to vote if they are a registered, are a qualified voter of the State of Alabama who has resided within the corporate limits of the municipality for 30 days or more immediately preceding the date of the election, and are qualified to vote in the County precinct which embraces and covers that part of the municipality in which the elector resides.

Voter Registration applications are available at the Board of Registrar’s office in Bay Minette or the Satellite Courthouse in Fairhope.

The deadline for registering to vote is Monday, August 11, 2025.
