The Human Resources Department is responsible for hiring, coordinating employee benefits, safety, training, and payroll. Our employees are governed by civil service law and participate in the Alabama State Retirement System. The mission of the Human Resources Department is to support and assist employees in a caring and professional manner.
Human Resources’ services have expanded to encompass a full spectrum of human resource functions. Today, we administer the following centralized functions for a workforce of over 240 full and part time classified and unclassified employees:

The Human Resources Director has a support staff of 2 full time professional and administrative personnel to carry out the personnel and human resource functions for the City of Daphne. The Director and all staff have specialized secondary education, training and/or experience in personnel administration and related fields. Working as a committed team under the Director’s leadership, the staff provides quality service to employees, applicants, and citizens.
