If a loved one or child collapsed due to sudden cardiac arrest or choking, would you know how to perform life-saving CPR?
Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a simple skill that is easily learned in a one session class. During CPR, mouth-to-mouth breathing and rhythmic chest compressions are used to supply oxygen to the brain and other vital organs of a person whose heart has stopped pumping. This can buy the precious time needed till help can arrive.
The course is taught using the American Heart Associations standards and a certification card is available for a small cost. In 2014 56 classes of CPR and First Aid were taught with 656 people being certified.
The class is held at Fire Station #1/Training Field at 25250 Bailey Yelding Jr. Drive. You can get to Profit Drive from Stanton Road (beside Team Gunther Kia) or from Johnson Road (beside NFL Building Center) turn onto Bailey Yelding Jr. Drive. Station #1 phone number is 621-2801.
Please call 621-2802 to sign up for the classes that will be offered.
