Scheduled Activities

 

Club Monthly Meeting  

Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

This Club is open to all adults 55 years and older.  Come and enjoy the educational programming, trips, games and arts and crafts.  For additional information, call (251) 621-3703, ext 219.  The meetings are held at the Daphne Senior Center, 2605 Hwy 98, Daphne, Alabama. Come, enjoy a social atmosphere, and learn new skills.

 

Lunch Meal 

Monday-Friday at 11:30 am - The only qualification is that you have to be 60 years old.  This program is not about the meals it is about people over 60 years of age coming in, sharing a meal with other people, and socializing.   Meals are limited to 80 servings a day and a $1.25 donation is accepted.

 

Senior Exercise

8:30 a.m. M-W-F – Chair Exercise and Weight Training

8:00 a.m. Tuesday & Thursday - Stretching & Exercising

 

Movie & Lunch

Last Monday of the month at 11:00 a.m.

 

Blood Pressure Check

1st Monday at 10:00 a.m.  Provided by AseraCare Hospice.

2nd Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Provided by Thomas Hospital Home Health Service.

 

Monthly Birthday Party

3rd Wednesday of the month at 2:00 p.m.

 

Potluck & Bingo

3rd Thursday of the month at 12:15 p.m. bring your covered dish, we provide the main course and bingo cards are $3.00. 

 

Bridge Lesson (Beginner & Advanced Players)

Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m..  For more information, contact Frank at (251) 990-2486.

 

Bridge Games

Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.

 

Cards & Games

Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m.

Pinochle & scrabble players are needed.

 

Bocce games

Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. at Lott Park.  For more information, contact Al Guarisco at 626-2729.

 

Art Class (Beginners)

Mondays 9:00 am – 11:00 a.m.  Instructor Mary Ann Lee

 

Computer Classes

Wednesdays 9:30-11:30 a.m. sponsored by the Friends of the Daphne Library and the Daphne Senior Center.  Courses open to anyone, no membership required.  The sign up book is located at the front desk of the Daphne Library.

 

Visually Impaired Support Group 

2nd Thursday at 10:00 a.m. This is a support group for people with vision problems. A Saturday class will be coming in the fall.
