Windpower at Daphne Library

Wind Power at the Daphne Library

The Daphne Library will offer a science workshop on May 14 at 3:45 p.m.   Ms. Denise H. Heubach, an agent with the Baldwin County Extension office will present the workshop.  The event will be held in the library community room.

Wind power offers a viable renewable energy source.   A wind turbine works the opposite of a fan that uses electricity to make wind.  A turbine uses wind to make electricity.  Besides learning the science behind wind energy, participants will have the opportunity to build a small wind turbine.   This is a free event sponsored by the Friends of the Daphne Library and the Baldwin County Extension Service.   To register call 621-2818 ext. 211 or email at  dplyoungadult@daphneal.com.
