Story Time Etiquette
We want every child to have a fun and memorable experience during Story Time. Here are a few ways you, as a parent or caregiver, can help make sure that every child gets the most out of Daphne Library’s Story Time.
- Please do not talk with other grown-ups during the stories and songs. We would appreciate if you socialize before and after the programs. You can help your children enjoy story time by modeling good behavior for them!
- Please discourage your children from exploring the room during the program. This can be a distraction to the other children.
- Older and younger siblings are always welcome to attend the programs. However, if one of your children is not enjoying the program, please accompany him or her to the lounge area so he or she does not disturb others.
- Some children are more comfortable watching others participate in activities than joining in themselves. Allow your child the freedom to enjoy watching.
- Please, no food during story times! (Children who don't have food will be distracted by those who do!)
