The Human Resources Department is responsible for hiring,
employee benefits, safety, training, and payroll. Our employees
are governed by civil service law and participate in the Alabama
State Retirement System. The mission of the Human Resources
Department is to support and assist employees in a caring
and professional manner.
Human Resources' services have expanded to encompass a full
spectrum of human resource functions. Today we administer
the following centralized functions for a workforce of over
240 full and part time classified and unclassified employees:

- Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Employee Performance Evaluation
- Employment Records Management
- Workers Compensation Administration
- Employee Training and Development
