The City of Daphne is proud to announce we are now an Advanced Life Support service provider . This enhances our Emergency Medical Services to our citizens tremendously. This means that the Paramedics on staff have access to pharmaceuticals and intravenous therapy. Paramedics also have access to EKG (echocardiogram) machines that allows them to interpret cardiac rhythms. For the citizens, this means advanced care in times of medical and trauma related emergencies. Our Paramedics are able to better diagnose and treat life threatening illnesses and injuries in the pre-hospital setting. The fire department is usually the fastest source for help in an emergency and with the ALS equipment firefighters are better able to save lives and reduce injuries.
