Daphne Alabama

Welcome to beautiful Daphne Alabama located on the high bluffs overlooking the city of Mobile. The city is home to over 19,000 residents and houses thousands of visitors every year. Daphne is a charming town with crepe myrtles lining the roadways and seated overlooking the Mobile Bay. To protect its citizens and visitors from fire and medical emergencies, it employs a first class professional fire service. There are four fire stations within the city limits manned by a minimum of 3 professional fire personnel and volunteers. All employees are cross trained as Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians or paramedics for optimal service to the community.

The city is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) service provider and employs multiple recently purchased 12-lead capable heart monitors. These monitors allow our fire-rescuers the ability to identify harmful heart problems immediately for early intervention. The early recognition and treatment of heart related emergencies are paramount for survival. The Daphne Fire-Medics also have access to the most advanced drugs available for heart, breathing problems, diabetic emergencies and other life threatening emergencies. These drugs allow for treatment on-scene and prior to the arrival of an ambulance.

The Daphne Fire Department prides itself on training, acquiring and maintaining fire equipment and employing only the finest firefighters. The department has 6 fire engines, one 95 ft platform ladder truck, and several service and specialty vehicles such as a hazardous materials vehicle, and a truck for woods/grass fires. The department has 4 fire stations strategically located throughout the city for rapid response in an attempt to minimize fire damage and illness/injury to our citizens. Also, within the responsibility of the department is the Daphne Search and Rescue. Search and Rescue is responsible for searching for lost persons and rescues in the water and on land in the Mobile Bay area.

The Fire Department operates 24hours a day, 7 days a week. There are three different shifts that are responsible for any emergencies within their 24 hours.
